New online course: Addressing corruption in the health sector
U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre is happy to announce the launch of our new online course: Addressing corruption in the health sector
U4 partner staff and anyone working in health systems, policy, or governance are welcome to take this flexible course at any time. As one of the most persistent and complex challenges in global health, corruption must be understood before we can address it through practical tools, better governance, and systemic thinking.
Through a series of short, 20-minute modules, participants gain thorough health sector-specific insights on key topics across the six building blocks of health systems:
- Uncover how corruption harms frontline services, and explore actionable, rights-based solutions to restore trust and equity in care.
- Examine how corruption in human resources erodes workforce morale, and discover tools to strengthen transparency and accountability.
- Trace corruption risks across the supply chain of medical products, and assess how digital tools can help (or hinder) efforts to enhance their quality and accessibility.
- Learn how data systems can both fight and fuel corruption, and sharpen your ability to spot when and how to use them ethically and effectively.
- Follow the money to see how corruption drains resources and blocks access, and gain insights into proven interventions that protect health budgets and boost equity.
- Understand the power dynamics behind policy failures, and explore how better governance can prevent corruption across the entire health system.
The course is free to take and is built around real-world cases and evidence-informed approaches – with a rich repertoire of curated further resources.
