SDC Case Studies and documents In the year 2001, SDC spent more than 100 million Swiss Francs on its cooperation in health. Of the total investment in the health sector, roughly half was spent on bilateral and two fifth on multilateral cooperation. Some 5% of the total spending were invested in humanitarian aid, both bilateral and multilateral, and close to 10% in the bilateral cooperation with the East. Selected examples of SDC's priority areas in health development in different geographical areas are presented in this section. The documents included in this section have been selected and/or edited for SDC by the Swiss Tropical Institute STI and Medicus Mundi Switzerland.
